Basildon Council and Basildon Renaissance are committed to improving relationships with local businesses, improve networking opportunities, and continue to encourage business retention, inward investment and the promotion if the District as a great place to live, work and invest.
The Basildon Business Group (BBG) was set up by a number of leading business people in the District in 2006 and is now set to grow with your help! A lot of background work has been done with local businesses and partner to identify their needs and key issues to address. We are now looking to expand the BBG and have also set up three support groups focusing on:
The intention is for the Council and BRP to work more efficiently together and improve relationships across the business community. The suppport groups will become the main working arms of a renewed and enhanced Basildon Business Group, under the able Chairmanship of Paul Rolison of Yellowspring PLC.
We want businesses to express support for this initiative, by signing this form, which simply says that you want to see better coordinated business support locally and want to know how this progresses, and by signing up (separately) to be part of one of the Working Groups, which would meet four times a year and lead the development of activity under the agreed themes in the District, thus making the whole drive Business-Led. You can then return the form to:
Basildon Renaissance Partnership, FREEPOST ANG11276, Basildon Centre, St Martin's Square, SS14 1ZZ
Alternatively, click here and fill in the online form stating your support for a strong business voice in Basildon and the creation of the BBG, along with any of the groups you wish to join, with your company name and contact details.
The administration of these Groups and the over-arching development of the Basildon Business Group, would be run by a new Council and Basildon Renaissance resource. This will guarantee that there will be action taken on decisions made, and will not be a talking shop!
Please do at least sign up to supporting the overall drive to develop a better and more demand-driven working relationship and the development of a strong Basildon Business Forum.
