New BASILDON signage installed

Installation of a number of new signs across the A127 has begun.

Promoting Basildon as a place to do business, the series of works will add to the already successful A127 Enterprise corridor, which is a key employment area for people in Basildon District and the wider Essex area.

A new landmark ‘BASILDON' sign has been installed on the Noak Bridge A127/A176 junction.

Twenty-two new highway signs and two entrance signs to the District are also being installed, along with three Basildon enterprise park signs that will be erected by the end of the month.

And 150 lighting sheaths that will stretch along the A127 within the District have gone up.

The Fortune of War roundabout has been improved with some soft landscaping improvements.

The £400,000 project is being funded from a £700,000 grant from the Homes and Communities Agency's Thames Gateway programme.
