Get online with the Basildon Sporting Village

A new website has been launched for the Basildon Sporting Village. By visiting http://www.basildon-sport.co.uk/ web surfers will be able to access all the latest news on construction up until the Sporting Village opens in April 2011.

The site includes details on the facilities that will be available at the new centre, access to a you tube ‘fly through' taking viewers on a 3-D journey around the facility, and links to sign up for regular Sporting Village updates.

The site also includes an FAQ page, image gallery and will soon include a web cam that will show time lapse photography from the site, so visitors to the website can see how construction is progressing.

Cllr Kevin Blake, cabinet member for leisure and the arts says: "The new website is excellent, and to have it live nearly 18 months before the centre opens is great for the community and potential users. I would urge everyone to take a look and keep updated with this exciting project via the website."
